Profile:

The “Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per la Nanoelettronica” (IUNET, Italian Universities Nano-Electronics Team), is a non-profit, private Organization, aimed to lead and coordinate the effort of the major Italian University Teams in the field of Silicon Based Nanoelectronic Device Modeling and Characterization.

Current members of IU.NET are the universities of  Bologna, Ferrara, Modena e Reggio Emilia, Padova, Pisa, Udine, and the Politecnico of Milano.

IU.NET members offer renown and complementary expertise in the field of modeling, simulation design, characterization of CMOS-based nanometer-size electronic devices. Their technical reputation is confirmed by the many IST projects where they have been recently involved: examples are the projects CAMELS, PULLNANO, EMMA, SINANO, FINFLASH (FP6), DEMAND, NANOTCAD, NESTOR, PHANTOMS, ULIS (FP5),  and many other European and national projects.

Specific competences and expertise are related to characterization and numerical modeling of non-volatile memory device performance and assessment of the technology reliability.
